What about their Mobile service. Heard its deteriorating?
Have a good impression about Vodafone, but my BlackBerry is network locked so was wondering if buying Airtel would be worth it.

Hi Bala,

I bought Microtech UPS (dual battery 800VA) which costs about 2500 in Bangalore. This gives me over 2 hours of backup for my modem (Beetel Modem from Airtel) and Wifi router (Netgear). Purpose of my UPS wasn't purely for modem and router, it was for my PC but since I work on my laptop for official work, it will be used for modem and router for that time.

You can buy a UPS depending on the backup time you may need. Nowadays a 600VA Microtech UPS costs about 1300 Rs and can give above 1 hr of backup for modem and router.

There is no need of additional accessory, just plug the power adapters of modem and router into the output of UPS and enjoy continuous internet usage on your laptop (of course with good battery backup)

Please let me know if you need any further info
