Hi Ramkumar,

I am using aircel 98 PI plan. I am able to connect my laptop with cell phone using bluthooth, but my major concern is browsing and downloading speed.
It takes around 2 to 3 mins to open any mail (yahoomail .. etc).
and downloading speed is 1 to 3 kb/sec. I am using Windows Vista and cell phone is Nokia 3110c.

I tried to increase browsing and downloading speed by installing some softwares (IDM, Proxifire) but nothing worked.

can cell phone model be the reason of slow speed??
Aircel Network is OK if not great in my area.

Could you please help me to solve my issues related to speed.
Thanks in advance.

Hi ramkumar,
sorry for the delay; I was a bit busy and away from the subject for the last 2 weeks.
I was trying to connect through USB. The handset is Fly2080.(all settings have been done according to the set).
Inadequate signal strength may also be a villain.
Thanks a lot for spending time on this

@anilkumar , which handset you are using?

Are you trying to connect the mobile phone to PC using Bluetooth or the USB cable? It could be that the PC couldn't establish a connection with your phone.

If you are using Bluetooth you may check the services running on your Bluetooth device and check whether the serial port service is enabled.

Hi Ramkumar,
I'm back again to trouble you. I'm not able to get connected to net, on PC.
After the dialing, the messages are: "verifying ur user name & password" and then "registering your computer to the network"; the second message stays for while and then gives a n error message :" TCP/IP CP error 718:remote computer did not respond in timely manner......".
what to do now?
(the customer-care suggestions did't help. BTW,I'm able to connect to the net on phone)

@anilkumar , no prob

In the number *99***1# what you can replace is only the digit '1' rest all '*'s and '#'s need to be used as it is!

sorry to trouble you. I got the last number stuff; in my case it's 6. my confusion is about only the "99***" , where do the stars represent some numbers(if any given by the service provider) or am I supposed to type only stars?
